Astrology—Libra
The Queen of Swords is the queen of the seventh house of astrology, which is the house of partners, marriage, relationships, and connections with the public.
Archetype—The Judge
Honest, fair, and sharp as a tack, the Judge archetype is emotional intelligence personified. The Judge partners the intelligence that is the sword element (air) with nurturing and leading through the heart (the station of the queen). They are very aware of their emotions, their thoughts, and their words. They know that the mind and heart when connected can be an unstoppable power for change. On the flip side, if the Judge has a blocked heart, this archetype can be cold and extremely cruel, verbally mowing down people and manipulating to their own selfish ends.
Socially, the Judge can be identified as the person who everyone in your social circle has on speed dial for emergencies, counsel, and solving problems. They are natural born mediators who can help bring people together who have trouble communicating in a clear, direct way.
The Queen of Swords does not take any shit and can see through it from a mile away. One look into your eyes and you will feel stripped. While this gives this archetype the best tools to be able to rule fairly, it can also give them the reputation of being harsh, cruel, and uncaring—mostly from the people who are being called out.
They understand that words have power, that they can harm or heal. This is not the archetype that you go to if you want to be coddled. This is the person you go to for the truth and honesty.
They are adaptable and open, being able to see an issue or problem from many angles. They will try to find a solution that is going to benefit all parties. This archetype has the communication on lock down and they have an extremely quick wit and usually a broad vocabulary.
In Love and Relationships
The Queen of Swords has a talent for using their quick wit and mind to enable them to fire rapid, hard hitting shots in an argument, but it also can make them quite the life of the party if they have someone to banter with. The Queen of Swords wants a partner who is loyal, fair, and intelligent. Lying to anyone is never a good idea, but lying to this archetype if you are in a relationship with them—that is a really bad idea. You will get caught.
The Queen of Swords will shower their lover with compliments that are true poetry to appreciate when their partner goes above and beyond for them. They are extremely affectionate and gracious. If they come across as cold, it is just that you do not know them well. The Queen of Swords also likes the finer things in life, including their relationships. It has to be the best. Relationships are their sanctuary where they can be real and express who they really are without judgement.
